Scaling systems. Growing people. Shaping culture.

About Me

I build scalable systems and empowered teams. With over a decade in distributed systems and backend development, I lead with clarity, mentor with care, and deliver with impact. My focus is resilient software, collaborative culture, and growing people — all in service of meaningful, maintainable engineering.

What I Build

I design and deliver distributed systems in Go, with a focus on clarity, resilience, and long-term maintainability. My work spans:

  • Scalable microservices and backend architecture

  • Pragmatic workflows that balance velocity and clarity

  • Mentorship, hiring, and team rituals that grow people and culture

Whether I’m prototyping CLI tools or shaping cross-team initiatives, I build with care — optimising for impact that lasts.

Where I've Been

Over the past decade, I’ve built and scaled systems across multiple domains — from early-stage products to high-traffic platforms. My journey has taken me through backend development, distributed systems, and cross-team collaboration, with a growing focus on mentorship, architecture, and engineering culture.

I’ve led initiatives in Go, Ruby, and AWS, contributed to hiring and onboarding practices, and helped shape team rituals that foster clarity and care. Along the way, I’ve partnered across functions, guided delivery, and grown as a strategic collaborator.

How I Grow

I grow through mentorship, reflection, and intentional stretch. Whether I’m coaching teammates, shaping team rituals, or navigating ambiguity, I treat growth as a collaborative act — rooted in care, clarity, and curiosity.

I seek out feedback, lean into complexity, and design systems that evolve with people. Growth isn’t just about skill — it’s about shaping environments where learning is safe, leadership is shared, and impact is sustainable.

What I Give Back

I give back through mentorship, community building, and intentional culture work. I co-organised the London chapter of Women Who Go, served as Secretary for Bridge Foundry, and recently co-hosted a Table Talk at LeadDev — a community-led conversation on leadership and engineering culture.

Whether I’m coaching engineers, shaping onboarding rituals, or hosting legacy conversations with my mother, I invest in clarity, care, and continuity. Giving back isn’t a side note — it’s part of how I lead.
